Wissam brings over 25 years of working in the international energy industry. He spent a large part of his career with BP in various operations, engineering, asset management and country and regional business leadership roles across the UK North Sea, US Gulf of Mexico, the Caspian, the Middle East, North and West Africa. Wissam went-on to become the CEO of Tullow Ghana and was also a member of the executive leadership of London FTSE listed Tullow Oil plc (LSE: TLW). Wissam is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Carbonvert., a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project development and financing company.

Wissam is a Non-Executive Director of Third Coast Midstream, a U.S. Gulf of Mexico infrastructure owner and operator and Sequent SA, a global consumer wearables and health technology company based in Switzerland. 

Wissam holds a Bachelor’s of Engineering (B.Eng) in Chemical Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
