Ideas In Action

Learn more about how ENSTOR is putting policies, procedures and ideas into action at these company locations:

Alberta

The Alberta Hub Storage Facility's strong safety record is well documented. Beyond even its excellent compliance record with the rigorous standards of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB), this facility has received special recognition.

Great Northern, the facility's operating contractor, received a Certificate of Recognition for its Health & Safety Program from the Alberta Human Resources & Employment Department. This COR Certification was received after Great Northern successfully completed a rigorous third party audit, which highlighted their dedication to safety.

Katy

Located in a busy Houston suburb, the Katy Storage Facility serves a key role in the Houston energy market.

In recognition of its unique location, Katy pays particular attention to public safety. Annual public safety awareness outreach to local residents is done through distribution of a natural gas safety brochure, and an ongoing effort is made to maintain solid relationships with local emergency services. The latter includes regular emergency drills and training for a variety of possible scenarios such as hurricane preparedness.

Katy has an excellent record with the Texas Railroad Commission. The commission is charged with ensuring compliance with Office of Pipeline Safety regulations for natural gas in Texas, and performs periodic inspections at Katy. Katy also receives internal company audits to ensure that its programs meet required standards.

Waha

ENSTOR's newest facility under construction is the Waha Storage Development in rural West Texas.

The site has maintained an excellent safety record with both employees and contractors thus far in its construction. To maintain that solid record, Waha will implement ENSTOR's standard EHS Management System as it goes operational.
